The Sorbonne economics center
Faculty of Applied Mathematics & Economics
The centre d’économie de la Sorbonne is one of the leading research center in Economics in France with more than 100 permanent faculty members. Its research activities are built around three flagship programs: -Interaction and behavior -sustainable globalization -institutions and regulations. It is home to ten weekly seminars and hosts a number of international conferences every year and is thus a major hub of academic interactions in France and in Europe. It provides access to numerous economic and financial databases, high-performance computing resources and an experimental economic lab.
I lead an interdisciplinary team of 5-10 doctoral and post-doctoral fellows working on economic and financial dynamics. We develop two main lines of work: (i) the development of dynamic models of propagation phenomena in socio-economic networks with applications to opinion dynamics, technological diffusion and systemic risk. (ii) the assessment of the economic and financial impacts of climate change. Both lines of research have strong complementarities, notably for the analysis of the transmission of climate impacts through global supply chains and for the analysis of climate-related financial risks.
