The first call of the UNA4CAREER postdoctoral fellowships programme closed last September and the final lists of applicants admitted and excluded from the evaluation process have recently been published.
Once the assessment of the eligibility requirements of the applications has been completed, the deadline for the evaluation of the technical proposals submitted by the applicants is opened. This will be followed by a phase of personal interviews with the applicants who score best in the evaluation of their proposals.
As a summary of participation in this first call, a total of 135 applications have been submitted, of which 107 have been considered eligible. The candidates have presented their applications in the four areas of knowledge foreseen in a similar proportion to that of the excellent research groups of the UCM that could present applicants in the call. In terms of the geographical scope of the applications, they come from a total of 36 different nationalities, with Spain, India, Argentina, Italy and Brazil being the most represented countries of origin in this order.
