Kaneka Eurogentec s.a., part of Kaneka Corporation, provides trusted and innovative solutions to scientists involved in the Life Science research, diagnostic and pharmaceutical markets for more than 30 years. Kaneka Eurogentec is fully ISO 9001, ISO 13485 certified, cGMP accredited by the Belgian Ministry of Health and approved by the US FDA for the commercial manufacturing of a biologic for the US market. The Life Science Research BU proposes a wide range of reagents, kits and consumables for applications in Genomics and Proteomics such as Custom Oligonucleotides, high performance PCR/qPCR Kits & Reagents, catalogue dyes, peptides & antibodies. Kaneka Eurogentec is also specialist in the design and synthesis of custom peptides and production of custom antibodies. The Diagnostic Services BU provides technical and project support for contract manufacturing of IVD GMP oligonucleotides and some enzyme for use in Molecular Diagnostic applications. Kaneka Eurogentec also proposes the production of custom pre-dispensed assays and OEM partnership. The GMP Biomanufacturing BU is a US FDA inspected full-service Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO). Since 1996, it offers expertise in technology transfer, process development, scale-up and cGMP manufacturing of proteins, protein conjugates, plasmid DNA and bacterial vaccines for pre-clinical, clinical and commercial uses. Since this year, Kaneka Eurogentec is also a CMO for GMP IVT-RNA and therapeutic oligonucleotides.
Kaneka Eurogentec s.a is about 350 persons working in 2 buildings that both are located in Liege Science Park, close to University of Liege in Belgium. EGT 1 building is fully dedicated to development of bioprocesses and GMP manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals (proteins, plasmid DNA, …). It contains BSL2 development laboratories, GMP Quality controls laboratories and GMP production units. It is equipped with fermentors for microbes (E. coli, Pichia pastoris, …), from micro-scale to 2,200L, chromatographic and TFF systems appropriate to each production scale, and equipments required for quality controls (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, AGE, CE, cell-based assays, spectrometry, fluorimetry, colorimetry, chemoluminescence, …). EGT2 building houses Head Office, the support activities and the fully equipped developement laboratories and production units for chemical and enzymatic synthesis (peptides, oligonucleotides, IVT-RNA, …).
