UFR 03 History of Art and Archaeology

HiCSA (Cultural and social History of Art) is the widest research team in History of Art in France, with 60 professors (15 full professors with a habilitation to supervise research) and more then 200 PhD students. It shelters researches in many different fields and periods, from Renaissance to nowadays. HiCSA is particularly well connected to the world of culture and arts in Paris, with frequent collaborations with museums and the main cultural institution. The doctoral school is the only one in France dedicated only to Art History. It covers the different fields of research including History of Architecture, History of Photography, History of Cinema.
